It will also help if you can take the valve stem out. That will give you more air flow to help seat the bead. Good luck.

I think you mean valve core not valve stem. And yes it does make a big difference.

Sorry about that yep should have said core not stem.:eek: Kinda of hard to put air in if you take the stem out

Glad to see that video as I couldn't remember how to ignite the either without getting my hand too close.
That sticky stuff that you coat the rim with is called "RimTite". Any auto parts store should have it. Great stuff....

Well thanks for all the reply's.
When I finally got around to it it virtually reseated itself (hot day, it was out in the sun all day) so I slimed it and it seems to be sitting ok.

the not safe way but works great method is spray a little starting fluid in the tire and have a match on the end of long handle and it will ignite and expand so fast it will seat your tire on the rim.........again.......prolly not real safe!!!!!!!!

Gee...I was gonna say the same thing...only as a joke:D People really do that?:eek:

I've seen (on TV) the can of ether used as a torch to lite off the tire! Not that I recommend doing this.............
