Gents,
As some of you know, me and a few other sub compact owners have been racking our brains out looking for a PTO driven leaf vac (there are two brands out there for SCUTs but they hook up to the MMM which some of us don't have).

I called BXexpanded and Harry says he has a prototype nearly finished and will be available soon. Ballpark costs will be around $1,700 which is a lot cheaper than what's out there. It'll be a nuetral finish color (silver, sorry fellow orange lovers but Harry's trying to appeal to those green tractor guys as well as the blues and reds. :)

He didn't go into details but said that it will weigh between 300-400 lbs and will attach to the back of the tractor (not the 3-point hitch). Nothing touches the ground it simply "sucks" debris into the hopper from the intake.

He also said he could expedite the leaf vac ahead of his other 41 protoypes if there's enough interest. So I'm asking, if you are the least bit interested in an attachment like this then make a post. The leaves are already coming off the trees here and I'd be the first one in line to buy one. Your thoughts ? ? ?

I am curious to say the least...

I'm also interested in this. I wouldn't be the first to buy but once it's perfected, I would seriously consider it.

So.......... if I'm understanding correctly, its simply a leaf vac and does NOT suck from the discharge chute on a mower deck? This sounds interesting. I have to admit...... if there is one chore that i REALLY dislike, its raking my leaves.

Ductape,
Yes and that's the very first question I asked Harry because as many of you know I don't have a MMM. This attachment will somehow "quick-hitch" onto the back of a tractor. He's intentionally avoiding the 3-point hitch to make this an "easy on-easy off" attachment that will not touch the ground while in operation yet it sucks up debris with power. He talked about engine rpm and PTO power but I honestly wasn't paying attention to the technical side cause he had me at the "no more raking leaves by hand" part.

thavil (sir),
I told Harry I WANT to be the first one to purchase this. If this thing goes to production, I'll let you know how she works.

kennyd,
A lot of us have been waiting for something like this. I believe in Harry and his products. :) :) :)

I have read a lot about his products for the BX's, he is definitely innovative!

kennyd,
Yes sir he is. Just give him a chance and I believe he'll make a lot of sub compact owners extremely happy. It's not just the BX crowd. A lot of his innovations for us little guys are for all the little SCUT guys out there. Tractor color doesn't matter. My next attachment purchase is his stupid bucket forks. I wanted 3-point hitch forks so bad it was itchin me but he explained to me how much more use I'd get from his stupid bucket forks and Im afraid he's right. I'm nearly sold on them (No, this is not a plug for BXexpanded... I can't move a pallet from the bed of my pick-up truck with 3-pt pallet forks but I sure as h*ll can with his bucket mounted forks). Nuff said. I want a PTO driven leaf vac in the worst way.
