Default Kioti BH bucket size

Hi all. I have the CK30 HST with a KB2475 BH and presently have a 9" trenching bucket. It works great and I've love using it. I also have a manual thumb on the BH.

I want to get a larger bucket for doing some bigger digging work. I mostly dig in sandy soil, sometimes mucky stuff and almost never in clay. I also pull up rocks and stumps pretty regularly.

What do you think I should get for size for the larger bucket? I was thinking an 18" as I don't think the hoe is strong enough to go larger (and I doubt I would need to). Any comments? The dealer seems to sell 16" most commonly.

I've got a 16" on my kubota 2620 and I'm on the fence if I want a 12" or 10". I originally wanted it to come with the 12" but my dealer delivered it with the 16".

I've got rocky soil and tons of stumps. It's nice for moving material fast, but I think the smaller would work better on my stumps, mainly pine, since it's hard to get the tap root or rip the others with the 16"

I have a 16" bucket on my CK20 KB2365 backhoe and it seems to be a perfect size. I have yet to fill the bucket to the point that I can't lift it or get it under something big enough to not move. I have very rocky soils so with your larger backhoe and easier soils, I bet an 18" bucket would be perfect. Some of the rocks that I have moved would have fit better in an 18" bucket but I don't need a larger bucket.

Good! You'll be amazed how much material you can move in a short period of time.
