Default Re: 300CX loader won't raise above 4 feet

tarious :...may or may not be related, ...but a year ago I had the same for no apparent reason. (I don't have forks but had the bucket off to mow).

Went to put the bucket back on and noticed the short arms were at different positions. Kept playing with them but they stayed the same distance apart. I did just what "Beenthere" suggested and now that I'm used to it it is not a problem.

Then I noticed my bucket refused to raise more than 1/2 to 3/4 way up. Checked oil and lines etc and unable to find a problem AND could not recall abusing anything.

I lowered the bucket to ground, shut 'er down and went in to read my manual but it began raining 15 minutes later so I ran out to put the tractor inside,....and guess what? The bucket for some unknown reason had returned to normal and never did it again.

I can only hope that yours just needed a few minutes downtime to rest or equalize or move an air bubble or something as did mine. Go out and give it a shot,....Good Luck to you!

CHEERS!

PS: ..a little later: ..Kennyd, I just ran out for a peek and I do believe my "holder" problem is the bucket "tie-rod". Looks like one of the pins is sheered,...I'll get at it in the daylight,...but I wanted to acknowledge that and say Thanks!!

My thanks to Kennyd too :0 :0
I just looked at mine, and there was a pin missing that connects the two sides. Helps explain that the imbalance was not noticable for a while, then started moving at different rates. Figured a way to compensate that wasn't much of a problem.
Now it is fixed with a 1/4" bolt (the original pin had a cotter key and am sure it was ripped off with use in brush) with a lock nut.

Thanks for the tip.
