Congrats on the tractor and good luck with it. Take things easy with it and learn as you go along. One point I will make with all the other excellent advice given is that since your fuel gauge doesn't work, (and assuming it has a diesel engine) DO NOT let it run out of diesel fuel. Keep a close check on the fuel level. If it runs out, you will have to bleed all the lines to get the fuel system and get all the air out of them. Not the easiest thing to do for someone new at it. Then again, you may already have experience with all that??

Thank you. I didn't want it to sound like a stupid question about the tires. I meant a blowout causing a roll but I won't worry about that now. :)

As far as the hyrdo leak, I need to get under there and look. That was probably my biggest mistake in purchasing the tractor as he disclosed it but I wasn't that worried about it. I will fix it in the future, sooner the better. Are there any issues with keeping it full if I can't fix it now?

as for the leak.. find it now.. might be a cracked casting?
