    Default 7.00-12 R1's

Is this a bastard tire size? I need to put new tires on the front of my JD CUT and it uses 7.00-12 R1's. I've been looking around online and mostly what I see is forklift tires in this size. They are proving to be difficult to locate.

Did you try East Bay Tires? Search them up online.
I bought from them because they had my bastard size tires along with a great selection of others, and they are very reasonable too.

I was able to track some down through a local tire dealer. My JD955 is supposed to have 7.00-12's on the front. It's a project tractor and I got it ff the trailer, I noticed that it had two different sized tires on the front ... both of them the wrong size.

Here's a pic of the 7.00-12 leaning against the 6.00-12 that was on one side:

And here's the 7.00-12 leaning up against the 6-12 on the other side.

6.00-12 and 6-12 are not the same.... guess the guy that put these on this tractor didn't know that.

So mechanos. You found the 7.00-12 's you were looking for?

What does "..got it ff the trailer.." mean?

    opps... see red correction above.

no transmission in it. had to get it off the trailer after hauling it home. since the trans was out of it, there was no hydrualic fluid in the system so the steering didn't work. had to put the wife in the seat to work the brakes while I pushed it off the trailer and "steered" it by grabbing the front tires and turning them.

Now I need to locate some tubes for the new tires. All I've been able to locate locally for the 7.00-12's are "industrial" tubes with a the extra long metal valve stem... like would be used on a forklift tire.
