Was the fuel and filter changed as a result of having the no-run problem?
Do you have a shut-off valve on fuel filter? On?
do you have any throttle response after you start it?
(without operating loader/shifting etc)
I had this sorta happening last winter on my 4010. Found 2 globs of wax partly plugging the fuel outlet from the tank. Fished these out, and all has been fine since.

Yea the throttle responds just fine, it will idle for an hour at just about any RPM, you can hold the clutch in... no problem. As soon as you shift into gear its like you turned the key off? same when you try to engage the PTO? If i give it some throttle when i move the shifter into gear it will hold on for a bit but eventually dies? it acts as though there is some sort of safety on the transmission that sees it going into gear and shuts it off?
sounds like a bad seat switch
the tractor needs to be in neutral to start, there is a switch
there, but also for it to shift, i believe the seat switch needs
to be activated. that would explain the pto also, no seat switch
signal and once you try to engage the pto, it kills the tractor.
Agree...Maybe a switch is acting up.??
The most likely suspect is an electrical switch, fuel and/or?, the manual has a comprehensive diagnostic section, I would start there. The instructions are pretty straight forward
Keep us updated!!:D
Bear, this should help.
(different serial #'s, as far as I can tell, one has blinkers, the other don't)
