Good job, at least it is done and no marks. Hope the wind doesn't blow it away.

If I were to use ice it would be more along the size of ice cubes not blocks.

I did get some minor scratchesin front of the step. If it bugs me terribly I will touch up with a small amount of the polymeric sand. No biggie.

I wanted to use ice cubes but I thopught the weight may crush them.??...Maybe that would have been best.??

It would take a lot of weight to crush the ice.


Seriously, I would likely set it in place and use a pinchbar to get the straps out. Adjust as needed and move on to the next one.

Actually I *did* do that when I put a couple granite curbstones in front of my barn entrance. Was a while ago, so I can't tell you how many tries it took. :) Also didn't need quite the precision of your step.

Looks nice though, glad that ice approach worked for you!
