Hope someone can identify this tractor. Picture was of me in the mid-sixties in eastern Colorado possibly on my first solo. :laughing:

Here's one to guess at. :)

The only name that came to mind was Early Caterpillar or prior to the merge Holts or Best.

Beltzington the tractor pictured is a 1939 or early 1940's John Deere A, B, H or G. The horizontal slats in the grill tell me its a letter series. On the number series they have vertical slats. The tractor also has a cast frame as opposed to later stamped frame. If it has a six speed transmission it is 1941 or newer.

Looks like my old JD H.:thumbsup: The JD H did not have a breather through the hood like the other Letter series did.

I think you got it. I knew that it was newer than a "B" or "C" model.
