In South Texas what are the going rates for cutting and Bailing 4X5 round bails of Hay :thumbsup:

I would guess $20-$25/roll, not sure what it is now days with the price of everything going up.

Are you asking what people pay for said bale, or what it would cost you to cut and bale? In Ohio, we pay $20-$45 for a round bale, depending on density/freshness/makeup of the bale. I would think with the drought that's been going on in TX it would probably sell for triple that.

with diesel going up this is going tobe a guess,but most charge $25 to cut rake an bale 4 by 5s or other size bales.we have a guy coming in a wk or 2 to cut an bale 15acs of rye grass.an he has either a 4 by 5 or 4 by 6 baler,so dont know what he charges a bale yet.

South Texas cattlemen were paying $120 for 1200lb round bales last fall here in the midwest. They would buy all that could be cut.

Actually diesel is coming down. Wife just bought 200 gallons and paid about what she did last year same time, she goes through quite a bit each year.
