Could you either tell or show me what you mean? I'm not familiar with the term as it was used here. Thanks. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Kudo's for passing along the excellent advice on using an attachment point below the center of the rear axle. Hooking above it can bring the front end up and over on top of you in something under 1 1/2 seconds! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif It happens exactly that quickly. Be careful out there.

I would be happy to show you, but I will need a day or so to get this together.

I will try and get a good scan and attach it.

Re: tow strap/choker strap??? or chain?

sendero (or anybody):

In reading this thread, there is no discussion of the type of straps referred to. Are you folks talking about straight strap, or choker straps (used, among other things, for lifting steel at construction sites)?????

Personally, I don't like straight strap even if rated high enough. Somehow, chain seems stronger even if it isn't. But I do like choker straps as they seem VERY strong (although they fray easy).

Anyway, are you guys talking about straight straps or chokers???

I use 1/4" grade 70. It is light and easy to handle. low quality 3/8 chain is about the same price as top end 1/4" chain, but is much heavier.

I can easily break cheap 1/4" chain. No damage to the grade 70 yet.
