I got the new ags today. They are 8 ply made by BKT. For the life of me, I don't know how I'm going to remount these as they are unbelievably stiff. I have 30" tire spoons but I think I'll need to put a pipe to these to get the new ones on. Theses tires are only 9.5x 24's so the flexibility quotient is rather low. I'd probably have an easier time with 14.9'sx24. I hope the rims hold up after I slather them up with liquid plutonium (I hear that stuff is really slippery)

For what you must have paid for those tires it might be worth having a mobile tire installer come out and put them on the rims. Also, they might be a good help in installing them on the tractor.

You can give it a try yourself but don't get hurt.

I just put new tires on my tractor too. 11.2-38 Carisle farm specialist Ha. 6 ply. They were tough to get on. Allot of soap to help them slide on. Took a fair bit of convincing to get the bead down into the rim to allow me to pull the other side over. Used 12" tire spoons and a flat wounder bar. The smaller the tire the harder it is to put the tires on the rim. I try to stay away from petroleum based lubricants for the tires as it will peel paint on the rims and could react with the oils in the tires.

Set them out in the sun. When they get hot they get a little more pliable.

I agree with GW, you may want to take them to local store to seeif they will mount them for you.
