Default Home made mulcher for BX photos

Here are some photos of a mulcher plate I made for the BX. I just cut out a piece of heavy gauge sheet metal to match the shape of the mower outlet and welded a piece of angle iron to the top of it. I then drilled two holes on the top of the deck for the two 1/4 inch bolts that I welded to the angle iron, those two bolts act as locating pins. When the spring loaded deflector shute is down it holds the mulching plate down tightly.
    Works great for mulching leaves.

Nice. Ive been wanting to do this since i removed the factory mulch plug. I hate blowing clippings into my tree rings when I forget to have the chute pointed in the right direction. Im going to make something that will operate from the drivers seat

Thanks, I went to Tractor Supply and bought their "kubota" orange spray paint. As you can see, it is close but it's not the real thing.
