Craftsman 17.5 hp Lawn Tractor Model 917.272673 (About 8 yrs old)

Battery won't charge - Charge meter on dashboard shows a negative draw. Runs fine if I jump battery.

Battery is fairly new - Any recommendations ??

Not sure who manufactured your engine but I know B&S does put electric trouble shooting tips on there website, others may as well. You will need the schematic for your mower and check for broken wires and insulation rubbed off wiring harness.
