I am importing my tractor into tyhe UK from Southern Ireland and am trying to find out what is necessary for registering it. The form sent to me by the DVLA does not seem to cover tractors

Re: Registration of tractor in UK
In much of Europe tractors have been used like pickup trucks here in North America. Because they are roaded so much they must be registered as a road vehicle.

G'day anything used on road over here has to be registered if you classify as a primary producer its about $70 au a year if you are not exempt it is about $350 au per annum. If you get caught unregistered in the lovely state of Victoria then it is a fine of about $550

Re: Registration of tractor in UK
G'day that would be nice but we have a national hwy straight out the front of home that we have to cross and about 5 mile of road work to go from one part of the farm to the other, plus my brother does contract work so travels up to 40 mile to service his clients.
