Finally got to do some leee-git work with my tractor (well, more legit than me tearing up trees)
digging out the tops of the septic tank (and saving ~$100 in the cost to get the tank pumped-about 1/3)

holes (and other holes)

cheating a little bit

the search for field lines, this turned out to be a bust

but this one turned out positive

so yeah, turns out my septic field is.. errr.. well, in the woods, and has been since.. god only knows. Septic guy said everything else looked alright and didn't seem too out of sorts after pointing out the approximate whereabouts, said it probably wasn't a big deal. I'd hate to have to cut down all the trees, it's one of the more favored aspects of the property, but I'm also not too taken with the thought of having to dig all that stuff up. Oh well, I've got the tools for the job should it come to that I reckon.

Seems like there are a bunch of them old fords in service still! That's what mine is! Just 6 years newer!

I'm in Indiana don't think we do people are always burning brush piles around here! All kidding aside I do have them sold! I work in a coalmine and they want them for there reclamation site. They like to put them in the lakes and ditches they build!

Lol were we are mining at there are no trees and I said something about it joking around and they wanted them. So they are paying me like I'm at work on my day off to use there dump truck and haul them from my house and dump them there then the labor puts them where the pit boss wants them!
