    Default tractomotive loader

HI, I'm a new member who just landed a tractomotive wheeled loader. I need all the info. I can get on this loader. Model L.L.W. with a serial # 47. Any and all information is appreciated. All I can find out is that Allis Chalmers bought out Tractomotive in the 50's.

I think you mean TL-W? That is the only close model covered in my Allis Chalmers book.

The TL-W was based on the Allis-Chalmers WF farm tractor. Tractomotive built 202 of them from 1948 to 1950. It carried a 1/2 yard bucket, and was Tractomotive's entry into the wheeled loader market. Tractomotive Corp. was formed in 1945, and acquired by Allis-Chalmers in 1959.

This history of Tractomotive is pretty well covered in Norm Swinson's book, "Allis-Chalmers Construction Machinery and Industrial Equipment," which is where I got this information.

From TractorData (TractorData.com Allis Chalmers WF tractor information), the WF tractor was a standard tread tractor with a 201 cu in engine, 22 PTO horsepower.
