serial number location

HI I have what I believe to be a 1950 case model va where would I find the serial number on this tractor thanks!

I found this information on Yesterday's Tractors website (http://www.yesterdaystractors.com/profiles/cavaprof.htm):

The serial number is stamped onto the name plate fastened to the instrument panel.

thank you for your answer but the nameplate is gone previous owners must of removed it. is there any other place the serial number might be stamped thanks again.

The serial number will be most likely stamped on the engine bell housing. Might have to look closely to see it.
