I can see this competition is heating up, I revise my estimate to:

(((9" x 9") x pi) x 348") / 1728) x 62 lbs or exactly 2.7e+2st stone

Unlike electric motors, logs lose a lot of weight when you let the smoke out.
...though they seem to lose equal percentages in value, lol

Thanks for all the replies. I also used the Woodweb calculator. I was curious to see what you guys came up with. Yes I did lift it with the tractor. I may have been able to lift a little more. With grapple weighing around 450lb, the SSQA on the loader @ 100lb, and the log at 3625 I was lifting 4175lbs.

Don't try this at home:laughing:

The ol' Kubby looks a might light in the loafers at the rear end, and a tad heavy at the front.

I wouldn't want to load the front axle up like that very often.:dollarsign:

My l5460 sure is alot more stable with weight up front when I have my #1100 BB on the rear. Easy to lift a rear wheel off the ground otherwise if too agressive while turning, esp on lumpy ground.

Excellent. Now I know what mine is capable of.

The loader on these tractors is pretty strong.

I don't think my l5460 could lift that.

Did you ever check to see were your relief is set?

This was pretty much a one time deal. I wanted to see what it would do.

I need a better ballast especially for use with the grapple. I want a compact but heavy ballast. I have a pretty cool idea for a ballast but I found the stuff to make it but IDK if the place will sell it to me. I may end up making a concrete ballast.
