"Well, I think I'll just leave my expensive tractor sitting right here in the woods and forget all about it".

I do that all the time, don't any of you guys ever do that???? Seriously, it must have had some major breakage to get left behind like that. Is it on your property? Looks like it could be brought back to life. On the property that I hunt on, there is an old New Holland model 55 hay conditioner (rake?) sitting on it. The trees are about to start growing into it. Maybe one day I will call the owner in CA and see if wants to try and do something with it.
Nothing could be finer than riding my JD790 in South Carolina!!

2001 John Deere 790 4x4 with Model 70 FEL, 5ft International World Agritech bush hog, 5ft Wallberg BB, 5ft Frontier disc harrow, 5ft King Kutter II Rototiller, 5ft Cultipacker, 5ft Sitrex finish mower, Leinbach PHD with 9" & 12" augers, Leinbach middlebuster, Leinbach #11 Field Cultivator, boom pole, custom 3pt handi-hitch, clamp on bucket forks, Pat's Easy Change.

Nothing runs like a Deere, or smells like a John....

Put some fuel in it and a battery, then start it up like they do on gold rush.

    LOL
Except on gold rush 24 volt 'dozers start up on a 12 volt car battery.

That's quite a find. I usually just find empty liquor bottles.

Looks a lot like an SO Case I had some years back. Had intended to restore it, but a Father & son came to look at it, for the son's project at the Tech College he was going to. He promised to send me pics when he finished it, but never did...

We leave stuff on our property like that sometimes, don't assume it's abandoned.
