I was operating my Kubota B7800 yesterday and noticed that the engine briefly cut out.

Once as I was backing up, and once while I was beginning to accelerate up a small grade with a load.

Can there be a problem with the seat switch?

Not sure if the former owner bypassed the seat switch?

This could easily be the seat switch. I had a similar issue and ended up bypassing it to resolve.

Find the wires under seat, pull them off and tape them up.

Put a new fuel filter in 13 months ago/75 hours on the new filter.

Should I replace it?

Depends on how dirty the fuel and/or the tank is. Make sure the tank strainer is not clogged as well as the filter and fuel lines. Make sure the fuel line connections are tight and the lines are not damaged or pinched.

I am new to tractors. Can you tell me where to find the tank strainer? Can it be removed to inspect and clean?

There is no fuel shut off that I can see. The manual says to remove the clear cover and the fuel will stop flowing.
Is this the correct way?

My friend's wife had that problem with a used BX. Turned out she wasn't heavy enough for the safety switch under the seat. Turned out there are two plates which work as spacers for the sensor. I removed one plate. No more problem.
