In case you want to use a different type of additive, or have a different amount of diesel, it's really easy to figure out.

The instructions say:

At temperatures above 0F., add entire contents (16 ounces) to 40 gallons of diesel fuel. When temperatures drop below 0F. or when using biodiesel blends, add entire contents (16 ounces) to 20 gallons of diesel fuel.

To figure the amount per gallon, divide the additive amount by the fuel amount.

In this case 16 / 40 = 0.4 which means 0.4 ounce of additive per gallon of fuel. 10 x 0.4 = 4 ounces.

Below 0F

16 / 20 = 0.8 which means 0.8 ounce additive per gallon of fuel. 10 x 0.8 = 8 ounces.
