LOCKNLUBEョ GREASE COUPLE... ever try one?

I've had the original for a couple years and it's been great! I recently purchased a RFM and the spindle zerks are recessed and a real pain in the *** to get the Locknlube onto. Having to access the fittings through a hole while trying to squeeze the Locknlube handle was a problem. After a quick web search and I found they have an extended version. Bought it and problem solved!

LockNLube Grease Coupler XL | LockNLube - LOCKNLUBE

Thanks for the link. I will order one to go along with my regular LockNLube.

I recently got the locknlub and it works fine. Most of the zerks were no problem before, only a couple that caused problems. Over priced, but when I'm servicing the mower on tractor, the last thing I want is a glob of grease somewhere to clean up.. Probably worth price in reduced aggravation.

On the other hand, I'm still not sure I want to spend ~$200 on electric grease gun.. I have some 20V DeWalt tools and like them so technically I could get bare tool and not pay for another battery and charger.

I hear not wanting to spend $200 for a battery operated gun, BUT if it makes me grease more often with less aggravation then it pays for itself in short timeframe by keeping expensive repairs due to lack of frequent greasing from causing downtime and unnecessary expenses. IMHO.

For $300 you can get their grease gun.

Was having trouble with finding a buyer for the pail! Even my best customers prefered the electric grease guns often buying several a year. Sent it to an automotive shop and it is doing fine and the one mechanic that really thought his electric was the best found the pail to be a winner after his electric failed! The pail seems to have the same longevity as the ends as we keep selling to new customers or the old for gifts to friends. On another note we have service people from other dealers that stop to buy these ends from us!!!!

Electric? Do you mean to say battery guns? I'm confused by your post; are you a dealer for LNL products?

I bought one last summer. Another one of those things that I wonder how I managed to get by without!

I was in a John Deere dealership today (they were able to get a PTO shaft that I wanted) and saw that they had these other kind of lube lock things (can't recall the name.manufacturer); it had just a finger collar- push on zerk and then pull the ring/collar to pop off. I actually liked the looks of this, a lot less bulky that the Lock-N-Lube; but, $34 a pop.

Ah Ha! Finally a knock-off, but maybe better since it costs more? Wonder if there is a patent on the original?

I purchased a loc-n-lube and I never use it. It can get stuck on a fitting as fast as my regular coupling. The main problem occurs when you try to grease a fitting that won't take grease which seems to happen frequently on my backhoe. I have removed every pin and fitting on that thing, installed covers on all the fittings, and it seems to always have one or two that either are in a bind position or have become clogged somehow.

Unlike my regular coupling I cannot loosen the tip to get it free. I will have to force it off either by hand or with pliers. I haven't broken the lever by forcing it off but it got stuck often enough I quit using it. I have found I can loosen my regular coupling so it seals fine and can be easily loosened more if it gets stuck.

You have to get used to how far you depress the lever and how far you push it on to get it on a fitting. If I press the lever all the way down it's possible to push it too far and have it not seat when I release the lever.
