Cab pros and cons

You can buy cabs for the BX tractors.

escavader built his and a fine job he did too.
apparently you haven't read his thread about the build.

GARY,Yes LB IS CORRECT[and thanks for the compliment LB] .They make them all the time.Mine is not larger than the tractor i think its proportioned just like the aftermarket ones .As far as tractor frame restrictions,If you ever looked at the frame of a 23 its built very very solid and stout to handle the back hoe .Ive posted here pics of me moving the cab on a pallet with my bucket forks ,so obviously and dont weigh what the back hoe weighs.Ithink with the doors and rear panel off ,4 guys could position it on the tractor to install, but the chainfalls are much easier.

I have had both and see the pros and cons like this.

Pros:

warm in winter
cool in summer
dry when wet out side
quiet and no hearing protection needed
no alergies
no dust for your lungs
no sun burn so less chance of skin cancer
no chemicals when spraying the fields
comfortable and stay clean
controls inside cab stay dry (seat electronics etc.)
longer days in the field due to comfort
added weight of cab for traction
cd player/radio

Cons:

Cost (not cheap)
more trubble to get on and off
less head clearance
no open air feeling on those perfect days

That's why I need a portable cab for my BXs.
That way i could just switch it from tractor to tractor.

Having owned & operated both for decades, i will take the cab model every time. In a perfect world, owning both would be awesome! A factory cab model & an open station model with folding rops for those tight areas.

dang ?! I've got it covered !
new holland 4x4 TN60A open station with loader..
john deere 2755 with cab...and loader
