I have a gear trany. 2000 rpm is 0.5 mph in 1st.

I don't have a tooth bar.

My loader won't curl and lift at the same time either.

I have no problems moving piles of up to 3" stone. :D

I like to have 100 pounds for each inch of bucket width but often get away with 80 pound/inch. ;)

Ron,

What is that rule of thumb about? a 60" bucket at 100#/in would be 6000# - is that tractor weight or counter weight?

I thought he was talking about lift capacity.

You can crush up a 3/4 ton full size truck (6000#) and it won't fit in a 60" wide bucket....

I imagine you'd have to fill the bucket full of lead to get 6000# in a 5' bucket. Then you'd better have a super skid-steer on steroids to lift it. The lift capacity of my Kubota m7040 (68hp) is less than 2,500# in ideal situations. . .and it's got a 72" bucket!

I have no idea where those numbers would come from. My tractor only weighs 1500 pounds with me on it and can lift 800 pounds with the FEL arms.
