New Oil Filters from Kubota?

I was in the Kubota dealer yesterday swapping out some filters. I picked up a new oil filter. Parts guy said they look different but are the same (I remember my others having Black print). He said Kubota did like the others that were made in America. They were supposed to filter to a certain micron and were not. This filter was made in Japan.

Not sure how "new" this is but he mentioned it without me asking.

Anyone heard of this?

Not sure if it is the same situation, but when I did my 100 hr service on my Branson I also noticed that the filter did not look the same. slightly different shape and different writing, but the same part number. I shrugged it off and installed it.
