Keep getting air in diesel lines.

Are there any flexible, rubber-like lines in the system? On my Benz, the flex lines between the steel lines clamped to the body from the fuel tank and the hand pump on the engine started getting radial cracks. This was when the Benz was about 12 years old. Had to also replace those same type of flex (synthetic rubber) lines at the tank.

I changed the fuel filter when I discovered this. It was the ONLY time I've had trouble starting the engine after a filter change. It'd start and die; start and die or maybe run roughly a little bit and die. Air was being sucked in via the radial cracks in the synthetic rubber lines.

Well it took me some time to start this but I worked on it this weekend..

So far I have done the following..

Changed all the pipes from Fuel Take to Engine
Replaced Fuel Filter
Drained Tank, Looked for crap in tank, found nothing.

So now I think the pump may be on the way out, I pulled the hose nearest the engine and put it in a plastic container and turned the engine over.. Diesel was flowing but it was more of a flow rather than a pump, I'm not sure how much pressure should be behind it and how fast it should be flowing. (BTW the pump I am talking about is what sucks the diesel out of the tank and not the injector pump)

It actually does seem to run sorta ok at low rpm, its when you ask it to work that it judders and dies.. So either pump can't keep up or maybe something worse (turbo?).. I have a new air filter inbound but I doubt that will cure anything..

Finally, anyone know where to buy replacement bobcat parts online, my bobcat dealer is real nice and all but they are 40 miles away on opposite side of city so it takes 2+ hours and a whole bunch of gas to go pickup a filter.

You might see if your dealer can ship the parts to you. If you buy online the parts will have to be shipped anyway.
