Look to the frozen Northland where metric is the standard.

we actually found a m12 .25? tap at a mom & pops type of auto place. napa and such didnt have but 60$ kits if you were lucky.

My first place to check would be McMaster-Carr

They have all sorts of stuff like that, their prices are very good and you will get it very quickly. I've ordered stuff on a Sunday night and had it here on Tuesday.

Thier website is also very easy to navigate, but beware that they have everything and you will have to narrow down what you are looking for to find it. I order speical drill bits from them as well as odd sized bolts. It's a process to find exactly what I want because there are more options then I know what they are.
