Can you access a acetylene torch? I dont think your getting enough heat in there using a plumbers torch.
Heat it up cherry, and soak it with penetrating fliud. Kroil is probably the best stuff if you can find it. Ive been using ZEP's penetrant lately and find it almost as good. WD40 isnt worth the can it comes in IMHO.
If you can get a large puller on the rim. THe constant strain that a puller provides can be better than hitting with a hammer.
Also double check that there are no washers, cotter pins or anything else in there holding it on.
