Help, I am a new member and wondering if anyone out there has any idea on where I should look first on my NH 1320 HST to figure out how to fix the rear PTO?

It will not fully engage. Lost it while rototilling.

Explain what yo mean when you say that it won't 'fully' engage.

what are you observing when you try to engage it?

Thank-you for the response.

When I move the lever forward to engage the rear PTO it feels as if it is skipping out or jumping before it can fully engage. This came on very quickly while rototilling. I will also be ordering a manual for the tractor later today.

The interesting thing is that the forward facing pto for the mower engages smoothly.

If it's anything like the PTO on my 2120, it failed when a friend was using it to BushHog. what failed was a ceramic (I think) everriding clutch with in the transmission case. $2100 for the repair. Ouch!!! I would ask RickB
