allis chalmers model b leak
hi all i own an allis model b and a few weeks ago noticed a leak of oil in the bell housing area of the tractor. a good freind of mine and myself split the tractor in two to replace the rear crankshaft seal, we had found this to have gone hard so we put the new seal in, and the tractor back together and its been dry as a bone until yesterday!! i noticed some oil in the bell housing area again now i must point out at this stage we did soak the seal in oil before we put in ,as its a felt seal not cork as was previously in there. so im wondering if the oil is from where put it: in oil oil to soak? and its just residue that is now coming through also must say the oil is very clean so not sure any ideas?????
