HI

I have a john deere 1050 that i put a new clutch in early this year last week i was mowing my field and everything was working great and then the pto started acting like it was slipping. It will start slow and the get up to speed when you start mowing again it will just slowly stop not bog the tractor at all just act like the clutch is slipping any ideas how to solve this problem?

Do you have a double clutch in that 1050?

Maybe time to adjust the clutch.

Also, is there any oil leaking from the rear of the engine?

yes it is a double clutch and i dont see any oil leaking from the engine the only place i see to adjust the clutch is on the peddle but this is all new to me and i dont have a manual on the tractor and thanks for the welcome this site looks like it has a ton of info on it

Good there is no oil leaking out of the rear main.

Stop by the Deere dealer, and ask for some page copies of the manual that shows the adjustment protocol.
I recall seeing it in a previous manual I had and since let go with the tractor, but not to the point of reciting it.

Also, have you searched the TBN? Prolly covered before.
