The clutch pedal on my 1965 Ford 3000 wobbles from side to side. I tried to remove it to see if the bushing is worn or if the entire brake/clutch shaft is worm. I could not get the clutch pedal off to see. There is a smooth headed bolt on the end of the shaft but I could not turn it. Does the entire shaft have to be removed? Anyone have an idea about how to easily remove the clutch pedal?

Thanks,

is there not a spring clip on the far end?

Yes, the far end that the brake pedals are attached to, has a spring clip. So are you are saying that the entire shaft must be removed out from the left (clutch pedal) side? This would involve removing the left wheel. If this is done, does the transmission fluid require draining first?

Thank you very much for the information.

hit the nh website.. find the parts search.. from there you can pull up your model and then see exploded diagrams of the brakes, clutch, trans.. etc.. whole shebang.

might also check yer service manual...lotsa good info there. Mine's at home, so can't flip thru it for ya
