Did you go around a right hand corner quite fast ? The sensors on the top left hand side of the transmission give trouble . When taking a right hand corner on a road to quick , the oil in the trans gets into the sensors and bridges the contacts and puts the light on .
..............This may not be the cause but it is quite likely .............

Also a stick can pull off the wire terminals underneath , get under and look at the sensors on the left side of the trans to see if this is the case .

There's 3 on the top left hand rear of the trans , pull out the washer bottle to see them with a torch . You may be lucky and see that one is wet with oil .

The lower left ones are easy to see from the bottom , they look a little like oil pressure senders on an engine .
