31x12.50-15 Turf tires for JD 855 4wd

I need to replace the rear turf tires on my 855(4WD). I've contacted 4 tires stores in the area, 2 that specialize in truck tires, nobody has this size tire available with a turf tread. I checked TireRack online and they didn't have it either.

Does anyone know where I can find this size turf tire?

855 does NOT require 31x12.50-15 tires in back. Rear turfs are 33x12.50-15. And they are pretty darn hard to find. When you do, they are not cheap.

I've considered putting an all terrain light truck tire on mine. This year, I never bothered to take the R4's off for summer, only mounted the front turfs. Worked pretty well actually.

I was told by a JD dealer I had to keep the 31x12.50-15 size because the tractor is 4WD. So the front and rear tires sizes need to be paired so they will turn at the same speed when using the 4WD to keep prevent strain on the transmission/transfer case.

Tractor is supposed to have 33" tires in back, not 31". You do want to keep the same ratio, but the 855 has 33" tires in back.

Might want to confirm your front tire size. If they are also smaller, then you do not want to move to a 33 in the back. If they are 23x8.50-12 then go with 33. Don't use the term Turf tires at a truck shop. Google 33x12.R15 using images and look for a tread you like. Likely an All season or Snow tire would be gentle on your lawn.
