First time this winter I use the darn thing.
Lever jams pulling it out.
Lever jams pushing it in.
I'm in a jam.

The lever has been pushed all the way back in now.
The valves still sound like they are still open.
Won't turn over.

What do I do?

Fixed and my sanity is restored.
<<Cue crazy laugh>>

I disconneccted it from the arm it turns.
Forced it closed by hand.
We have compression!

That lever has been disconnected, never to be used again.
The knob working it (me) is fired.

You don't need to use it that much unless extremely cold I believe . I would put some penetrating oil or something on that lever on the valve cover, It should be spring loaded to close and then re hook up the cable if you ever need it.

-32 this morning.
Extreme enough I bet.
Not a great big battery either, would be great if this thing worked.

I will oil up the lever, see if I can't get it working

I noticed a loud "whirring" sound shortly after starting it up again.
I was concerenced I did some big time damage.
It was the rpm cable making the noise.
I disconnected it and kept moving snow.
One more thing to fix.

Went in for lunch. Came out and it wouldn't shift into gear.
Grrrr!!!
It was a 2nd lever for hi/neutral/low.
I bumped it while getting off the machine.

I just put on my new tires/chains yesterday and wanted a smooth day.
Not the case.
