Hi all, I went to reattach my loader this year (I always take it off to rototill) I had trouble with the first couplin, started leaking when I tried to mount it - well it turns out I broke the gasket inside the quick connect - see pics.

This gasket looks hard to replace, do you replace the hole quick connect, or maybe there is a special tool to replace the gasket. (Like me ten year old's small fingers?) :)

See pics for the problem, in the one you can see the 4/5 of the gasket that is still inside 3/4 of the way inside the connector.

TIA tractor gurus!

It's probably time to take my tractor to the dealer anyway, have a slow leak in the front tire, my rpm/hours lcd is shot, need to change the oil and probably the fluid and now this. Still love my tractor!!!

Instead of a gasket, might be an 0-ring. A dental tool (pick with a 90 deg bend at the end and a slight curve) may be able to dig it out to get the right size. But asking at your dealer maybe the quickest way to fix. They will likely have a replacement but for about $30-35.

just replaced the o ring on a john deere quick attach---as BEENTHERE says use a dentalpick and HOOK the old o ring and pull it out---the new ring goes in by pushing it in with the tip of a small screwdriver until it seats in the groove-wet the new ring with lube and it slids in much easier. good luckj

Got a new ring from the dealer for .75, went in no problems, no leaks. Yesterday I changed the oil, hydraulic fluid, filters and front axle grease, stopped short of flushing the coolant as it looks like you need to take the hood of the get to the drain plug.
