    Pliers or channel locks or vise grips (or put the nipple in a vise)

    That is if it isn't broken off.

    On some (most?) grease guns, the tip is in two pieces. When you turn the outer end counterclockwise it loosens the grip the tip has on the nipple. Not all guns have this feature, but Lincolns do for one. There are some threads here on this subject, do a search for grease gun.
