Hi, I need help. My 35 year old Woods 4 foot mower stopped cutting in our pasture. How do I look in the gearbox and see if there is a clutch or shear pin that controls them? thanks, janie

What model # is the mower? Some of the older ones used belts like the RM48.

In my sig line is a link to download Woods manuals. Just look for your model # and you can get it for free from Woods Eqpt.

Good luck!

I did not think shear pins were in the gear box. Usually they are on the outside. Easily accessable. Are you seeing any shaft movement by hand to the gearbox, with the equipment not running?

Clutches and shear pins will be external of the gear box. If the PTO shaft turns but the mower does not the gear box is the issue.
