case 580 backhoe

Aloha i just wanted to know if anyone could help me figure our where to look for this problem i have with our backhoe. We have a case 580 and it was having a hard time starting so we found out that it was the ignition so we changed it and it started and when we put everything back together and tried to start it again it would not start. Could it have a short somewhere? where should i look?

I have a similar problem at this time. I've asked around and the best advice is that I have a fuel flow problem. My 580K has three gas filters that I'm going to change. It also has a water drain under one of the filters. There's a manual prime pump and two locations to get air out of the fuel system as well as loosening the injectors.

Check the rubber fuel line coming into the Small inline fuel filter on the left side frame rail, I take care of 6 of these machines and it is a common problem for them to rot in the frame and suck air and lose prime
