Steering box 8n

I just replaced the bearings in the steering box of my '52 8n. Upon refilling with oil (100 wt. gear oil) the oil began leaking from the drain hole of the clutch housing. Any tips on what I may have done wrong?

there is a freeze plug in the bottom of the housing below the bottom race that is most likely your problem

Ok thanks. The parts manual didn't show that. That is very helpful!

There was not one in it when I disassembled it. Guess that explains why it was dry!
