Tractor
2002 tn65 new holland
I have a 2002 TN65 New Holland tractor, two wheel drive, 8 x 8 transmission. I attached a disk to the tractor and started to cut some ground. The ground was slighty wet and the right rear wheel began to spin, the left wheel did not spin. I push down on the differential lock, but nothing happened. I pressed the right brake, hoping to make the left wheel take traction. It did not work, it just stalled the tractor. Now the tractor will not move, backward or forward. If the park brake is set it will stall the tractor when gear is engaged. Does anyone have any advice on what I should try to correct the problem.
Thanks for your help.

You have two broken differential half shafts. The left has been broken for a while, now the right one has failed. The park braks acts on the pinion shaft, so it still works.

Thanks RickB
Is this a job for a real mechanic or can a couple of farm boys do the job.
