The tires on my ford 1100 are shot. I have decided to replace them aggressive truck tires by getting a couple of steel rims and having an adapter plate welded onto them with the right lug pattern. I am having a hard time working out exactly what tires I need to maintain the correct ratio for the 4wd, any help or advice would be appreciated.

Current tires: 7-16 ag, 29.3 diam tires with a rolling circumf of 87 according to firestone.

What would be a reasonable replacement ?. 225/75/r16 has a 29.3 diam, would that be a reasonable swap ?
