Anyone have any experience with a high failure rate?? My machine has about 650 hours and if I replace the shut off solenoid, it will be the second time in about 6 years. Im exoperiencing an issue with the machine not starting, I've replaced the low pressure fuel pump last week and it ran, but went to start it today and it wont start again. Anyone have any thoughts?? I do use Powerservice fuel additive.

I'll wager that its not really the solenoid, but the little electric thingy that reduces the voltage from 12 to 6 volt when you energize the solenoid. When the solenoid is new its not as critical but after it gets a few hours (with a bit of leakage past the seals) it doesn't pull in fast enough.
Too early in the morning for my brain to remember the proper name, but they sell for about $2.00, cost $90 for the dealer to install (1hour labour charge for 15 minute job)

THERMISTOR !!!! (just takes a while when brain is on dial-up speed)

the thermistor is located in backi of the relay panel bugged right in the wires
