Has anyone heard of this or seen this failure?
I have a John Deere 4400 with about 1,200 hours with a 70" belly mower. It has only mowed a level, smooth surface it's entire life. Been babied otherwise. Yesterday as I was backing out, the left attach point for the belly mower broke free from the bottom of the case and all the hydraulic fluid poured out. The attach bolt is still screwed in. It actually pulled out a 2" piece of the case and the attach threads from inside the case, leaving the bolt attached to the inside!!! Is this a design flaw? I'd like to know if this has happened on other tractors. Thanks for any input.
