9n 3pt won't raise when hot

The 3pt. hitch on my 9n won't raise after it warms up. Fluid level is always maintained. I'd appreciate any ideas at all. I use the tractor daily and it has become a real problem. Thanks guys.

If you have hyd. Oil in it try 80-90 or 90 wt.in hyd. System. Oil thins as it gets hot and metal expands and normaly those pumps have a good bit of wear.

Pull the side plate and check the lift cylinder for leaks. That's most likely the problem.

PS.. hyd oil in that sump is a bad idea.. that oil lubes the trans and rear end.

plain hyd oil is not suitable for those parts.

a 90wt gl1/3 oil or a 80w90 gl4/5 with an MT1 rating and stating yellow metal safe is ok.

DO check for leaks...

easy to R&R the hyd cover and or the pump...
