One more thing to consider about clic-style torque wrenches: In the 70's, I had a friend who worked as an test engineer at Detroit Diesel Allison, on little things like automatic transmissions for M-1 tanks... He told me to always back off the torque setting to zero when you weren't actually using the wrench, which would help maintain calibration accuracy. This would still be true, I'd think?
