Okay, I am a horse trainer and not a mechanic. I am trying to use a Ford 1720 to drag my ring, since it is the only tractor that no one else on the farm wants or takes care of. I have added oil to her since the last time it was changed and a filter added [I think?]. It was putting out a very strong white exhaust prior to that and it was hard to breath after dragging the 80' by 160' indoor arena. I am dragging with the drag in the permanent down position since it will not raise? Sparks are also flying from the stack which is getting hot faster than usual. What to do? Added the same oil to the hydraulic area since that was my interpretation of the manual? No change in the hydraulic system? Any input is appreciated.
