WAR MFG gear box for brush mower - ever hear of them?

My Sunmaster rotary mower tossed a bearing in the gearbox. I took it apart and found it is a WAR Manufacturing box. Anyone hear of them? I can get replacement bearing easy enough but the lower shaft looks rough..be nice to replace.

I'd look at a new gearbox but the mounting is unusal and I would have to redo the deck for a flange type mount.
