Hinomoto E2304D, cant engage first or reverse gears
Hello
Could someone with Hinomoto expertise be able to give me a lead as to what the problem might be. Thanks for now.

Does the shifter move freely or feel like it is jammed? Need a little more info. and is first and reverse on the same section of the shift pattern?

Re: Hinomoto E2304D, cant engage first or reverse gears
hello
thanks for reply, first gear is left top and reverse left bottom, second and third gear are on right side of pattern and engage freely. The gear shift moves accross to left easily but wont engage top (1st) or bottom (reverse) on pattern. Snchro ring may have slipped has been mentioned.
Regards
Tony

Slipped or broken and slipped. I had that issue on my yanmar for the 1st/3rd shift fork. most of the tractors I've dealt with the issue you have to split the tractor to replace.
